Nature Joe is building a Nature School at Redwood Acres that will provide a home for Joe's rescue animals, an educational space for hands-on learning, and an art-full maze for visitors to roam.

The Maze structure is built out of recycled doors as walls, donated by Turtle Mountain Design's salvage yard. The hallways and corners of the maze will feature animal inspired art, sponsored by local businesses and individuals. It will be open to the public to view the art and enjoy the adventure.

Support the Humboldt Nature School project, the arts, and rescue animals by sponsoring an art panel or exhibit within the Maze. Commission a panel with your message or business logo and take advantage of this dynamic and unique opportunity to get in front of local and tourist maze visitors.

As a Dreammaker Project of the Ink People, your contribution is tax deductible and will go towards the artist’s fee, the construction of the Nature School, and the Ink People for overseeing the donations for the project. Sponsorship includes naming rights, and 2-door premium sponsorship includes a private reveal party.

Panels, which will be attached to the Maze doors when finished, will be provided for the artwork. You can choose your artist or have one assigned to you. The design is between you and the artist, but we do ask to keep to the animal inspired art and make sure it is family friendly. Once finished, it will be mounted on a door you choose in the Maze. Sponsors are encouraged to be involved in the design and construction of the project.

Art Suggestions

  • Use your name, family's name, pet's name, business name, logo, or as a dedication.
  • Sponsor a space on behalf of your favorite non-profit organization.
  • We ask that you use no more than half the space available for a name or logo and the rest for animal or nature inspired art. Ideally the name or logo would be incorporated into the design.
  • Paint, collage, sculpture, mixed media and other appropriate art forms are welcome.
